PLOT & SETTING
Welcome to a city unlike any other.

Mythril City seems to be your average American city, but by digging just a little deeper, you’ll find that it’s more than that – much more. The legends are all true; the supernatural does exist, and Mythril is one of the largest and most diverse supernatural communities on all of Earth. It’s a safe haven for all those legendary creatures, allowing them to live and be true to who they are, and it’s a well-guarded secret.

Pandora is the guardian of that secret. Their job is not only to protect the world from threats, both human and supernatural, but to ensure that the supernatural remains a secret. The ordinary citizens of the world are none the wiser, and Mythril remains safe.

Or so it should be. With all kinds of creatures prowling the streets, it should be no surprise that there’s a steadily rising tide of chaos.
It’s this that draws in the Trickster’s Brigade. They come with the desire to entertain themselves using the city and its inhabitants. No one knows who they are, but whispers of their feats are scattered throughout history and legend. Mythril City is their playground, and they have no interest in leaving.
SETTING
Mythril City is an oceanside metropolis located on the northern coast of Maine, United States of America. Over the years, it has become known for its culture and natural beauty, a technological city with an expansive subway system snaking underground, surrounded by a large and diverse wilderness. The city is off in its own little world, almost isolated from the rest of Maine, yet the flow of tourists never stops.

What’s special about Mythril is that it just so happens to sit upon a ‘Cosmic Nexus’, leading to it connecting to a large variety of realms throughout the universe. Heaven, Hell, Asgard, you name it. Natural wormholes, or portals, can be found around the city, making travel between realms significantly easier. What’s more is that the veil between the world of the living and the Otherworld, the world of the dead, is exceptionally thin in Mythril, leading to higher spiritual activity than other cities.

It’s a unique city, that’s for sure.
